Quantum Olomouc (Kvantová Olomouc) is a one-day workshop for high school students organized by the Department of Optics at Palacký University Olomouc, Czech Republic. The event is a part of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology celebrations.
Starting with engaging lectures by researchers from the department, the program will continue with an opportunity to visit the Quantum Optics Lab Olomouc (QOLO, https://quantum.opticsolomouc.org), consisting of the photonics lab and the lab of trapped ions and light-matter interaction, and other labs focused on quantum optics. The workshop will also include a hands-on session where students can explore quantum phenomena through interactive experiments.
The goal of Quantum Olomouc is to spark curiosity, inspire young students, and raise their interest in quantum science.
