The quantum group of the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Bologna organizes a journey to discover quantum physics through the laboratories of the Department.
The meeting, targeted mainly at STEM university students and researchers, aims to present some of the main research topics, theoretical and experimental, developed by the different groups, to introduce discoveries and technologies that characterize the second quantum revolution. After a brief introduction, participants will visit three workshops where they can witness the following experiences:
– messages and interceptions using quantum encryption
– quantum materials and phenomena
– the coldest point in Emilia-Romagna: ultra-cold atoms for an ultra-precise sensor.
