This year, to mark the World Quantum Day, we are organizing a competition that stands out in the general European context and is unlike any past events in Lithuania dedicated to this celebration. The online Quantum Quiz is a quiz that will take place this year on Sunday, April 14, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Take part, put your knowledge to the test, learn new things, and if you’re lucky, win the prizes established by the Lithuanian quantum technology association “Quantum Lithuania”.
Anyone can participate in the online Quantum Quiz – not necessarily only those who study quantum physics. The competition includes different categories.
Quantum Quiz Categories:
Category I participants are people who have nothing to do with quantum physics or physics in general. These participants will be asked simple open-ended questions asking them to share their thoughts on the topic of quantum physics; there will also be fun brainstorming questions that will encourage creativity.
Category II participants are those who studied physics at school or are currently attending these classes. Here you will find some easy and medium problems from the physics school course, as well as some general theoretical questions.
Category III is for people who have had or are having quantum physics lectures at university. Students and researchers working in this field can also participate here; student Olympians can also try their hand at it. Questions and tasks of high complexity await the participants of this category.
The tasks will be prepared by FTMC physicist Assoc. Dr. Jevgenij Chmeliov together with dr. Mažena Mackoit-Sinkevičiene.
The prizes were established by “Quantum Lithuania”.
