LabEscape is a science-based “escape room” — all the puzzles required to complete the mission are based on various science concepts, though absolutely no science background is required. In this latest chapter, world-renowned quantum physicist Professor Schrödenberg is quarantining and desperately needs your help — the fate and security of the entire world hang in the balance, as partipants race to run the world’s first distributed quantum algorithm to cure a terrible memory-erasing virus! As featured in The New York Times, this APS- and NSF-funded outreach project has been operating since 2017, with over 11,000 participants, 98% saying they would recommend LabEscape to friends and family. Our goal is to show that science can be useful and accessible (no prior background is assumed), as well as beautiful and fun! And of course, to save the world!
