From April 10 to 14, 2025, the Vietnamese Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM) hosted a two-day mini-course and a one-day conference titled "100 Years of Quantum Science and Technology" to commemorate World Quantum Day - April 14 and International Year of Quantum Science and Technology 2025. Co-organized with the University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-HUS), the event attracted over 100 participants.

Notable attendees included Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Bùi Thế Duy; Dr. Nguyễn Bùi Cương from the Institute of Cryptographic Science and Technology (ICST); Dr. Nguyễn Quốc Hưng from VNU-HUS; and the international speakers Yasser Omar coordinator of the World Quantum Day initiative; James Nguyễn, CEO of Quantropi; QWorld representative Aurél Gábris; and MyQI founder Yap Yung Szen.

A key highlight was a dynamic panel discussion with policymakers, academic researchers, institute directors, and corporate representatives, including Prof. Nguyen Hoang Hai from VNU-HUS, Prof. Dinh Van Trung from the Institute of Physics, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Toan from ICST, and Simon Trac Do, CEO of VinCSS. The conversation focused on the adoption of quantum technology, leading to the formation of the Vietnam Quantum Expert Network (VQEN) in the following months.

Aligning with World Quantum Day, this conference marked Vietnam's first major quantum technology event, offering a timely platform to boost local expertise and support the country’s transition to quantum technology.
