Lithuania - World Quantum Day off to a good start

Lithuania: World Quantum Day off to a good start

We applied for the organization of WQD in Lithuania and won the support of European Physical Society Young Minds. Funding will be mostly dedicated for prizes in the Quantum Art Competition. Additionally, we will visit schools and during the national lecture/broadcast on YouTube and on TV we will discuss the drawings together with the President of Lithuanian Physical Society.

In April we will travel to Jonava, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Visaginas, etc. Young researchers will present their scientific achievements in a simple, interesting, and comprehensible way. In addition, they will show some practical experiments. Schools that would like us to visit them should register in advance.  April 14 there will be a national lecture with quizzes, special lectures from scientists and at the end of the broadcast, the winners of the Quantum Art Competition will be announced. Additionally, European Physical Society along with European Physical Society Young Minds decided to select Dr. Mažena Mackoit-Sinkevičienė as a new member of the Action Committee of EPS YM. She will oversee European activities and can help you to get support.
